First, let's look at some of the potential underfloor heating problems you may have with UFH water, and how to go about fixing them. To evacuate the air, you will need:
Isolate all UFH zones except the non-heating zone Disassemble the actuator Connect a hose to the manifold flow valve and connect it to a cold supply tap Connect a hose to the manifold drain point and take it out on waste Open the cold water tap, open the faucets, the drain point and the point of flow and run the water in this area
Once the air bubbles are eliminated, you can then close the valves and the cold water tap and disconnect the hose. Pump runs all the time or won't turn off
If you are having this underfloor heating problem, it may be because:
The pump relay is stuck on the wiring board Again this is an electrical problem so call a qualified electrician. Increased underfloor heating system pressure (pressure test)
There are a few potential underfloor heating issues, which can be identified by pressure testing, which could cause the system pressure to increase:
Fill loop has been left on or is opening Check that the valves at each end of the flexible hose are closed and disconnect the fill loop. Floor not reaching desired temperature If your electric underfloor heating isn't warm enough, you may need to adjust your thermostat settings or check the power output of the system.
